Magners mobile app & game for brand activation campaign
Magners, the famous Irish cider, arrived to Portugal in 2015, and we were invited by Savvy agency, the creative agency hired by the brand, to develop an iOS/Android app to support the activation campaign of one of its products: Magners Berry . The application in question was the support of the teams of promoters who were present in various events throughout the country. At each event, the public was invited to install the application that allowed to play the “scratch card” and win Magners prizes. The user identified with Facebook login and shared the Magners Portugal page, thus gaining the right to play by “scraping” the touch-screen of their smartphone as the application progressively reveals the random premium to receive. This technology allowed a very successful and interactive campaign, garnering hundreds of targeted contacts with information extracted from Facebook to the brand’s database.
